Nothing beats the timeless appeal of a crisp checkerboard quilt—especially when you learn the speed and accuracy of strip piecing! Taken from the same fabulous book as our Burbs - House Blocks class, this project turns a traditional pattern into a fun, efficient technique you’ll use again and again.
We’re breaking this project into three easy sessions to set you up for absolute success:
- Session 1 (Virtual Prep): Join us online to review fabric selections, pull from your stash, and make sure your colors pop before making the first cut.
- Sessions 2 & 3 (In-Person Sewing): Gather to master strip-piecing techniques, trim with precision, and construct your checkerboard top with zero hassle!
Students can join in person or virtually. All students will be added to a course on MKQU, with a Zoom link for the Virtual Prep class.
Session #1 – September 17th. 11am – 12:30pm EST
Session #2 – September 24th. 11am – 1:30pm EST
Session #3 – October 8th . 11am – 2pm EST

No refunds given on class registrations within 7 days of class start date, unless cancelled by MK Quilts. Every student must have their own copy of the pattern/book and ruler for class due to copyright laws.
