Product Overview

Machine Timing Loop Lift Spacer Gage for all HQ Longarm Models

This does not contain the allan tools needed to adjust the timing. It is intended for use by the average longarm user so that they can accurately determine if the machine is timed properly. Poorly timed machines can lead to stitch/tension related issues.

Review our video on timing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Re5zQYmvbM

PLEASE NOTE- You will need both the spacer AND the clamp for the timing. Sold Separately. You will need to buy the loop lift clamp if you do not already have one.

Loop Lift Spacers: The Infinity requires the 2.6mm Loop Lift spacer. All other HQ machines require th 2.2mm Loop Lift spacer. Please choose the correct one for your machine.

The loop lift clamp is specifically made to fit around the needlebar and work with the spacer. Sold Separately.

*Adjusting timing is not a warranty covered item as it is something that is only required after an 'unfortunate incident.' An experienced service technician is recommended for adjusting timing as you need precision in both rotation and forward positioning on the shaft.

TIMING VIDEOS ON YOUTUBE are available, but use caution. Not all of them are good. For instance, one video shows timing with the casing open/off. This can cause 1 mm to 2 mm variance in the end result.

I haven't used mine yet, however, I am excited to have this tool and look forward to being about to time my Infinity myself. (Maybe with the assistance of my hubby) Fast excellent service!

Fixing the timing on my HQ Longarm

Posted by Christine Hunter on Apr 23rd 2022

My HQ Amara Longarm was skipping stitches. There were little holes pierced in the fabric. This indicated that my timing was off on my Amara. Watched a couple videos and they recommended checking the timing by using this product with the 2.2 mm gauge for my Amara. Therefore, I I purchased this product. It came very quickly and I was unable to use it to determine that my timing was off for sure. Then I used this timing gauge to get my timing back in line so my Longarm would no longer skip stitches. Took me a few tries to figure it out but I was able to do it on my own without taking it to the long-term mechanic. It would be nice if MK Quilts would do an in-depth video on how to fix the timing especially for those people that are unable to get their long arm to the mechanic due to availability or distance. The video that MK quilt has out for timing your machine is not very specific and just tells you how to determine if your timing is out. Not how to correct it. My issues that took me so long to get it corrected was that I didn’t have the red hook close enough to the needle when I was setting the timing. The needle hook has to be a hairsbreadth away from the needle. Practically touching it. Although the price of this timing gauge is a little high, it was worth it because it saved me much more money, time and effort than if I would’ve had to take my long arm machine into the dealer to have it fixed instead of doing it myself specially since my machine was no longer under warranty.
